WolfMore 6 -Point Scotch / Wolf / Hammer

WolfMore-Golf App is built for golfers who love 6-Point Scotch, Wolf, and Hammer, with fast, simple tracking that keeps the whole group on the same page. Our mission is to grow a community of peer-to-peer golf competitors who play hard, talk trash, and let the app handle the details.

6-Point Scotch (WolfMore style)

  • Formats: 2 vs 2 (classic) or 2 vs 3 (more pressure).

  • Each hole is worth 6 total points, earned like this:

    • Low team score (low ball): 2 points

    • Low team total: 2 points

    • Prox (closest to the pin in regulation): 1 point

    • Birdie: 1 point

  • Sweep rule (Umbie): if one team wins all 6 points, the hole doubles (local rule may apply, so we added a mute button). The mute button is great for indoor matches, when umbies may not be in-play.

  • Wolf partners: chosen on the tee and apply only for that hole (rotates every hole).

  • Going alone (Lone Wolf): points may double (local rule).

    • Lone Wolf “team total” uses a ghost partner score: (Lone Wolf score + bogey) / 2 — making the solo call a real pressure decision.

Why WolfMore for 6-Point Scotch

WolfMore keeps the game moving with quick taps, clean math, instant totals and maintaining wager flexibility—so you’re not arguing over point splits or doing mental math on the tee box. Track points, presses, and money hole-by-hole and stay locked into the competition (and the chirping), not the scorekeeping.

Wolf – Classic

Formats: 2 vs 2 (classic) or 2 vs 3 (more pressure)

Two Modes: 1-Point or 2-Point

  • 1-Point (Low Ball): lowest team score wins the hole.

  • 2-Point:

    • Low Ball (lowest team score) = 1 point

    • Low Total (best combined team score) = 1 point

Wolf partners: chosen on the tee and apply only for that hole (rotates every hole).

Going alone (Lone Wolf): points may double (local rule).
For team total, Lone Wolf uses a ghost partner score:
(Wolf score + bogey) / 2 — making the solo call a real pressure decision.

Hammer (Wolf Option)

Best for: 2 vs 2 Wolf
Start: teams form first (Wolf chooses a partner). Each hole starts at 1 point.

At any time before the result is decided (local rule: before tee shots, before approaches, or before the first putt), a player can call “Hammer!”

The other side has two choices:

  • Accept: the hole value doubles, or

  • Reject: the hole is sacrificed (automatic loss for the rejecting team).

How the value moves:
1x → 2x → 4x → 8x … (each accepted hammer doubles again)

If a Hammer is rejected:
The last proposed double does not apply (reverts to the previous value), and the hole is forfeited at that prior value.

Payout (based on the hole outcome):

  • Wolf team wins → wins the multiplied value

  • Other side wins → wins the multiplied value

  • Tie/push → typically no points change hands (unless your group has a carry rule)

Common local-rule add-ons (optional):

  • One hammer per side per hole (keeps it friendly)

  • Hammer must be called before: tee shot / approach / first putt (pick one)
